Weeds grow where they want to; not where they're told to grow...

erbacce-prize 2017: UPDATE!

'erbacce' it rhymes with 'apache' and is Italian for 'weed'

We had 7,200 entries this year and were editing as we went for four months and arrived at a LONG short-list of 160 poets. Then over the past week we have whittled those 160 down to the short-list of 32 below; these 32 have so far been judged blind but now the judging team of six will also have the poets names and place of origin. It will take the team three weeks or maybe more to meet and debate and exhaustively to do justice to these poets so if your name is among them; good luck... there are three prizes to be won plus listings as ‘Featured Poet’ in the quarterly erbacce poetry journal for another four entrants.

If your name is NOT here; there’s always next year; and remember, there were 7,200 entries world-wide.

The erbacce-team; Alan, Andy, Jacqui, Matt, Pascale and Ursula
